Our 2004 Annual Conference is just around the corner and the board is hard at work trying to organize the event. We want to put on plenty of quality training for those in attendance. If you have certain topics you would like to see at this years conference, this is the place to post your input. Thanks!

Hi, Graet job having the web up and running. Some of the ideas for training are: Cargo Theft Investigation from the perspective of the Cargo Industry. The private compaines and what they need and how they can help us.
Interview & Interrogation- Up to date legal issues and some brass tacks on I&I ( How to ) get that info needed from Burglary suspects.
Ebay- Info on how Ebay can help law enforcement and the private sector investigation in the area of fraud etc in computer areas.
Documents- A class on how to confirm that documents are the real thing
Counterfiet poroducts- A good class on how to detect and fight against counterfiet items- Cd, clothes etc. ;D

Dont know how old is this post is, but.. I worked 6 years in a U/C capacity with Major Crimes Bureau are main fuction was chasing Burglars and Robbers through six different counties. One of the things that truly helped me in detecting deception and obtaining the true from suspects were the topics taught by the Insititue of Analytic Interviewing. That Insititute teachs some good stuff, for example Detecting Deception, Analytic Interviewing, Micro-Expressions, Body Language, and Cognitive Interviewing. Thier web site is www.iainterviewing.com. Hope this helps on some ideas.
